Description of Briardene Care Home

Below is what Compare Care Homes knows about this care home provider. The words 'we', 'us' and 'our' do not necessarily refer to Compare Care Homes. Also, references to inspections are likely to relate to inspections by the care home regulator for this part of the UK.

Briardene is a purpose-built home situated on the outskirts of the Village of Westerhope, half a mile from the A1 off the Newcastle Airport Road. It is close to local housing, shops and amenities and community support in the village.

It is a spacious high quality home offering 59 single ensuite bedrooms. The homes accomodation is laid out over two floors and has many large and airy communal spaces. Set in its own pleasant gardens, with well stocked planted areas and foliage and is utilised throughout the year.

Briardene has its own coffee shop and hairdressing room that is used by residents on a day to day basis. The home offers a wide range of activities that are geared to the needs of the people living there and the home also has the use of the Company mini bus to take residents on excursions to the local places of interest.
