Compare Care Homes 'Find me a Care Home' Tool

As a Social Enterprise, we have spent over two years assisting hundreds of members of the public to locate suitable care homes with available bed spaces. This was a manual service that involved contacting care homes on behalf of future residents.

In January 2013, it was decided that a more efficient and automated service was required in order to accommodate the ever increasing numbers of requests for assistance being submitted.

Now, when you submit a request using this form, we will work with our network of registered care home providers to locate potentially suitable care homes that meet with your search criteria.

We will still contact the care home providers on your behalf, but now we will ask that they respond to you directly, to provide brochures, prices and details in relation to availability.

Facts and Figures

Nationally the average occupancy rate for all types of care home including residential, nursing, respite, dementia and EMI care homes is around 90%. Approximately 12,000 people per month move into care homes, and around 40% are self funding, yet only around 7% of people get any financial advice.
