Residents at a care home in Nottinghamshire are being evacuated due to the high risk of flooding in the area.
Twenty-five elderly residents at Hazelford Ferry Care Home are being moved to nearby care homes as water levels along the River Trent are predicted to rise during the next 24 hours.
“The safety of residents at the home is paramount so due to the high risk of flooding we are assisting the home to move them temporarily to alternative homes in the Newark and Sherwood area.
“We hope to move the residents back to the home as soon as possible.”
