Caterplus wins £9m Jewish care home deal

Caterplus has won a £9m contract retention with Nightingale Hammerson, a care provider for older members of the Jewish community.

The five-year deal, which started last month, sees the contract caterer provide homemade kosher food to around 250 residents at care operator’s two London sites.

The team of 50 Caterplus employees is also responsible for catering to the 90 Nightingale Hammerson staff.

Paul Robottom, managing director at Caterplus, described the contract as a major retention for the business, adding: “This agreement also confirms our client’s confidence in Caterplus to deliver high quality kosher food and service delivery and strengthens our great partnership approach within the wider Jewish community nationally.”

Caterplus first started working with Nightingale Hammerson, previously two separate care homes called Nightingale House and Hammerson House, in 2007.
