Northampton based care home operator, Avery Healthcare has opened the doors of its 23rd UK care home. Cliftonville Care Centre is located next to Northampton General Hospital and is a state of the art care home offering residential, nursing and dementia care. It will be home to 106 residents, its first residents have already arrived.
The Care Home owned by local company Avery Healthcare, based in Grange Park Northampton, is one of the UK’s leading providers of care for our older citizens. The business is headed by local businessman John Strowbridge and Ian Matthews, both have extensive experience within the care sector.
The demand for residential and nursing care in Northampton is growing at a rate where demand is fast outstripping supply – Avery Healthcare has a number of homes across the county and its plans include adding more high quality homes in the region. Avery has a reputation across the care home sector for raising standards in care and is designing homes that not only deliver the very best in building design but also in delivering person centred care services to residents and their families – it is one of the few care companies within the UK to have an active build programme.
The 106 bed Cliftonville Care Home offers not only the very best in clinical care and support services but also a high-end rehabilitation gym, a cinema, landscaped gardens, hotel style catering and a varied leisure and recreation programme. Marius Feeney, home manager said, “We really are changing people’s perceptions of care homes at Avery. Our approach to delivering care is winning awards across the care home sector and Cliftonville is another example of how we do that – in both design and care services. We ran a rigorous local recruitment programme and are pleased to have appointed a highly skilled team of professionals and support staff to work with us here at Cliftonville. We all look forward to welcoming more residents to our community in the coming days and weeks.”
Avery has recently signed a year-long sponsorship deal with Northampton General Hospital radio.
Marius went on to say, “We are delighted to support Radio Nene Valley and are looking to develop our relationship with the hospital further. In fact we like to engage with the community so will be contacting local schools and clubs and inviting them to visit us once our guests are settled in.”
John Strowbridge MD at Avery Healthcare said, “There is a high demand for care in Northampton, this should not mean that our older citizens compromise on the quality of care and services they receive as a result. With an £8 million investment, Cliftonville Care Centre offers state of the art facilities supported by the very best in clinical care – our services are designed to meet the needs of our residents. As pioneers in our field, having won awards for our attention to detail when designing care homes, it is our aim to lead the pace of change within our sector”.
John went on to say, “We have a ‘blueprint’ to build an additional 15 homes by 2014 creating local jobs for local people across the UK. We draw from communities so it’s only right we invest in communities. Our build programme will allow us to do this”.
Cliftonville Care Centre is located on Cliftonville Road, next to the Northampton General Hospital and is available for viewing and is already welcoming new guests.
