Harrow residents are being offered a sneak preview of a new Harrow care home this week ahead of the official opening which is to be held later this month.
The care home provider Sanctuary Care has moved one step closer to opening its new 29 bedroom Haven Residential Care Home in Wellington Road, Hatch End, with the introduction of advanced viewings this week.
The home, which will provide residential care and has a specialist dementia suite, has been built by the Sanctuary Group and will be managed by Sanctuary Care. The care home made local headlines during construction, when local school children became involved in a project to add a time capsule to the site. The home itself is state-of-the-art with purpose-built design features such as passenger lifts, a hairdressing salon, and high-quality landscaped gardens.
The care home will be officially opened on January 23.
Manager Morag Collier said: “There is a real need for specialist care provision in the area and our home and the dedicated team we have here will be a real asset to the community.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming people along to show them round and give them the opportunity to speak with our team over a cuppa and cake.”
